Every compound is approved before production.

The critical properties of every compound are fully tested in our laboratory before vulcanisation.

Simulation designs the part; international test methods prove it.

Rubber compounds from the compounding department are tested and approved in the laboratory before they go on to preforming for vulcanisation. Every mechanical and physical test we need is run in-house.

At set intervals through the year every test is repeated end to end, as a further check on compound quality and on the reliability of each formulation.

Validation tests

The field, in the laboratory.

Dynamic mud and water spray
Mud-laden water is sprayed at high pressure on the fitted part while it flexes at extreme angles for one million cycles. A grease analysis at the end confirms zero ingress.
Ozone and climatic ageing
The part spends days in ozone chambers and high-temperature ovens; the test confirms the surface stays free of cracks.
Compression set
Measures how well the material returns to its original form after compression in grease and at high temperature.
